A sacrifice should know what it is buying.
RESILIENCE
RESILIENCE
A sacrifice made without a clear purpose tends to become a habit of going without. If you cannot say what you are giving something up for, the giving up becomes its own identity, and years later you find that the thing it was meant to buy never arrived and was never specified.
For whatever you are currently forgoing, name what it is purchasing and roughly when. If there is no answer, either give it a purpose or give yourself the thing back.
What did you give up without ever naming what you wanted back?
Free, with nothing to buy inside it.
