A teacher writing a real comment instead of “good job” is telling you they actually read it.

A real comment costs a teacher something, and the cost is the information. Two generic words can be written without reading a single line, while a sentence about your third paragraph proves somebody followed your argument and thought it was worth answering. Criticism in that form usually means you are being taken seriously.
Read the specific comments twice and treat them as the opening of a conversation. Go and ask what they would have done with that paragraph. And when somebody shows you their work, give them the specific version instead of the easy compliment.
Which written comment proved somebody had actually read your work?
