Power should make restraint more necessary.

The more you can do without resistance, the more the limits have to come from you, because the external ones have gone. Restraint stops being a virtue you display and becomes the only remaining brake, and its absence is not felt until damage has already been done.

Set a limit on yourself now, while nothing is testing it. Something you will not do, a decision you will not make alone, a line you have written down. Limits chosen in calm hold better than limits invented under pressure.
