Money reliably widens what is possible. It does not do much to who you are, though it does remove some restraints and reveal what was underneath, which people often mistake for a change. Whatever you were dealing with in yourself before will still be there afterward, better resourced.

If you are waiting for more money to become a different sort of person, start now with something small that costs nothing. Generosity, patience, honesty about what you want. Those do not scale with income.
