You can be creative and organized at the same time. Messy desks aren’t a requirement.

Chaos is a stereotype, not a method. The idea that disorder proves imagination has cost a lot of people a lot of lost work, missed deadlines and afternoons spent looking for a cable. Systems do not drain creativity, they protect the hours you actually have for it.

Set up one small system this week and keep it for a month. A single folder for works in progress, one notebook instead of five, a fixed place for the thing you always lose. Count how much making time it returns to you, because that is the only argument that matters.
