Steal ten minutes a day for making something. That’s sixty hours a year.

CREATIVITY
Small amounts of time look negligible and accumulate ruthlessly. Ten minutes feels too short to bother with, which is exactly why it is available, and sixty hours is more than most people spend on anything voluntary in a year. The arithmetic only works if the ten minutes is daily rather than occasional.
Find ten minutes that already exist in your day: the bus, the gap before dinner, the time before everyone else is up. Put one small act of making in that slot and do nothing else with it. Count the days rather than the output, at least for the first month.
Where in your day could ten minutes go to making?
Free, with nothing to buy inside it.
