Grades measure a moment. Habits measure a direction.

RESILIENCE

WHAT THIS MEANS

A grade is a snapshot of one afternoon, shaped by what the test happened to ask and how you slept. Habits tell you where you are heading, which is more useful to know and the part you can actually steer. A good mark with no system behind it is luck you cannot repeat, while a modest mark with a working routine is improvement in progress. Watch the slope rather than the point.

Instead of reacting to your last mark, look at what you actually did in the four weeks before it. Pick one habit to make slightly more consistent. Check again in a month and compare directions rather than numbers.
