A grade doesn’t measure your worth. It does measure what you turned in. Both things are true.

REFLECTION

WHAT THIS MEANS

Two things can be true at once, and holding both is the whole trick. A grade reads one piece of work at one moment; it is not a verdict on who you are, and treating it as one makes it impossible to learn from. Treating it as nothing is the opposite mistake, because it does report something real about what you handed in. Keeping them separate lets you improve without being flattened.

With the next mark you get back, ask only what it says about the work. Find the one fixable thing. Then leave the rest alone.
