Posting rules is the easy part of leading. Enforcing them kindly, every single time, is the hard part.

RESILIENCE
Writing a rule takes a minute and enforcing it takes the rest of the term. The difficulty is not deciding what the standard is but applying it the fifth time, to a friend, when you are tired and letting it pass would be easier. Letting it pass once is how a rule becomes a suggestion. Doing it kindly, every time, is the actual work of leading.
If you are responsible for anything, choose one rule you have been letting slide and apply it again from today. Say what you are doing and why, without drama. Be consistent before you are strict, since consistency is what people respond to.
Do you enforce your rules kindly or only when annoyed?
Free, with nothing to buy inside it.
