Some of your best prayers will be three words long and said at a red light.

GRATITUDE
Short counts. There is a quiet assumption that real prayer needs quiet, time and a decent run-up, which conveniently means it never happens on an ordinary Tuesday. Three words at a red light are not a downgraded version of the proper thing. They are the thing, said in the gap you actually had.
Use one gap this week on purpose. The walk to the bus, the minute before the exam, the pause while the kettle boils. Say the short true sentence then, instead of saving it for a longer stretch of time that your week is not going to hand you.
Could you pray three words waiting at a red light?
