Waiting to find your purpose before you start serving is like waiting to learn to swim before you get in the water.

You will not find out who you are by standing still and thinking about it. Purpose gets discovered through contact, by doing a few things badly and noticing which ones you cannot stop caring about. Waiting until you are certain before you start is a way of never starting, dressed up as being responsible. The water is where the learning happens.

Say yes to one thing this week that you are not qualified for. Help at the thing, go to the session, take the shift. You are allowed to be bad at it while you find out whether it is yours.
