Purpose has been confused with audience size, which is a modern mistake and a miserable one. A younger kid who relaxes when you walk in, who tells you things, who is not frightened of you, is not a modest version of a calling. It is the whole thing, delivered to one person, with nothing left over for display. No platform makes anybody safe.

Be that for one specific person this week. Learn their name properly, remember what they told you last time, and be reliable in the small way they have come to expect.
