Praying families still fight. They just have somewhere to bring the fight afterward.

Praying together does not stop a family arguing, and anybody who implied otherwise set you up for a disappointment. Houses where people take it seriously still shout, slam doors and say things they regret. The difference is not the absence of conflict; it is having somewhere to take the wreckage afterwards instead of simply waiting for the atmosphere to lift. That is a smaller claim and a much more honest one.
