Easter starts with an empty tomb, but it went through a very real Friday first.

GRATITUDE

WHAT THIS MEANS

Resurrection does not skip the Friday. The story gets told as a single bright event, which quietly teaches people that if their own situation still looks like Friday then something has gone wrong with their faith. Nothing has gone wrong. The route to the empty tomb ran through an entirely real death, with real grief and a full day and a half of nothing happening afterwards.

If you are in the middle part, stop measuring yourself against the ending. Say plainly that today is a Friday, do the next ordinary thing, and let Sunday be a separate problem.
