Somebody was in that building hours before you, doing a job with no audience and no thanks, so that you could walk into a clean room and not think about it once. Every space you enjoy has somebody like that behind it. You have never met most of them. That is not a guilt trip; it is an invitation to see the building as the result of somebody’s early morning rather than as furniture.
