Worry rehearses a disaster that usually never shows up. Prayer hands the script to Someone who knows the ending.

GRATITUDE

WHAT THIS MEANS

Worry is a rehearsal. You run the scene over and over with the worst casting, and the performance never gets used. It feels productive because it looks like preparation, and the difference is that preparation ends with a decision. The other option is putting the script down, whether you hand it over or stop reading it.

When the loop starts, write the worry in one sentence and name the first action it implies. Do that action, or accept there is not one. Then stop rehearsing, and go and do something that needs your hands.

A QUESTION TO SIT WITH

Who could you hand your worry to tonight instead of rehearsing it?
