Noise around the edges of a room gets read as disruption when it is usually the opposite. Organizations die quietly, not loudly, and the first thing to go missing is the next generation running around being inconvenient. A place full of children with nowhere to be is a place with a future, however annoying it is to the people trying to talk.

Learn the name of one kid at whatever you belong to, and use it next time. Be the person who is glad they are there rather than the one who shushes.
