Agreeing with every sermon and changing nothing on Monday is like buying cleats and never leaving the bleachers.

GRATITUDE

WHAT THIS MEANS

Agreement is cheap, which is why it is so satisfying. Nodding along to something true costs you nothing at all and feels a lot like having done it, so Sunday ends with a pleasant sense of progress and Monday looks exactly like last Monday. Owning the cleats is not playing. The gap between agreeing and changing is where most good intentions quietly live.

Take one thing you agreed with recently and do a small version of it by Wednesday. Make a call, give the money, say the apology. One action beats a week of nodding.
