Someone tilting their umbrella over you while they get wet is a whole personality in one move.
GRATITUDE
GRATITUDE
Character shows up in reflexes rather than in declarations. Nobody plans the umbrella thing. It happens in half a second, before any calculation, and it means somebody’s instinct under a small cost is to take the cost themselves, which tells you more than an hour of conversation would. Watch for it, because people reveal themselves most clearly in gestures too small to fake.
Notice who does that around you and keep them close. Then be that person this week in some tiny way nobody asked for, and do not mention it afterward.
Who takes the wet side so you stay dry?
Free, with nothing to buy inside it.
