One day you’ll try to make your grandma’s recipe and realize she never measured anything. Ask her now.

Cooking by feel is knowledge that exists only in a pair of hands. It is not written down anywhere and cannot be reconstructed from the finished taste, because the information is in how the dough looked and when she decided it was enough. The only version that survives is the one somebody wrote while watching.
Get in the kitchen while she makes it, and write down what she actually does rather than what she says she does. Weigh things as she adds them, photograph the stages, film the part she judges by eye. Do it with no occasion attached, and do it this month rather than at some better time.
Who could teach you to cook without a recipe?
Free, with nothing to buy inside it.
