Good done anonymously is the kind that proves it was not done for credit. Somewhere a debt gets cleared and the person clearing it never learns whose it was, and the kid never learns whose money it was either. Much of the kindness holding things together works like that, invisible at both ends. It never shows up in any count of who is decent.

Try one useful thing this week that nobody can trace back to you. Put the cart back, leave the place tidier, quietly cover a small shortfall. The point is finding out how it feels with no credit attached.
