Being known as fair outlasts being known as fun. Try to be both, but pick fair.

LEADERSHIP

WHAT THIS MEANS

Fun is a quality people enjoy now and fair is one they rely on later. They come apart in the situations where being liked and being straight point different ways: whose turn it is, who gets left out, whether the rule applies to your friend. Fun is remembered for a season; fair is what gets you asked to hold the money and settle the argument.

When the two conflict this week, take the less popular call and do not explain yourself at length. Keep the humour; it costs nothing. When you have to choose, choose the version of yourself people can lean on.

A QUESTION TO SIT WITH

Would you rather be remembered as fair or as fun?
