If you find cash in a thrifted jacket pocket, you’ve found a decision, not a bonus.

Found money arrives feeling like luck and is actually a small fork in the road. Somebody lost it, probably without knowing where, and there is usually no way to return it, so what you are deciding is what to do with a windfall that was never meant for you. The honest question is whether you would say out loud what you chose.
Any route back to the owner is worth taking, even a slow one through the shop. If there is not, give it away or put it somewhere that is not your own entertainment.
Who would you try to find if a pocket held cash?
Free, with nothing to buy inside it.
