Don’t log the miles you didn’t run. The app believes you. Your legs won’t.

The number in the app is a description, and the only thing it can affect is how you feel about yourself. Your legs keep their own record, in whether the fifth mile hurts, and that record does not read the entries. Logging a run you did not do is a strange kind of lying, because the person misled is holding the phone.
Log what happened, including the short ones and the day you stopped. If the plan is too much, change the plan rather than the log. The chart is only useful if it is true about your legs.
