Be the same person around your crush that you are around your little sister.

Running two versions of yourself is exhausting, and nobody is fooled for long. The one you perform for somebody you want to impress is thinner than the one your family gets, and the gap shows to everybody nearby, including the person it is aimed at. People relax around consistency, which is far more attractive than a good act.

Take the warmer of your two versions and use it in both places this week, which often means being kinder in front of your friends than is cool. Notice when your voice changes and ask who it is changing for. Being the same in both rooms is also much less work.
