The algorithm feeds you more of what you already like. Curiosity means going looking on purpose.

A feed is built to keep you comfortable, which means it narrows while feeling like it widens. Every video you finish teaches it to bring you something nearer to that, so after a few months your sense of what exists has quietly shrunk to what you have already approved. Curiosity has to be deliberate, because nothing is going to recommend you the thing you have never clicked.

Choose one subject this week that your feed has never offered you and go find it yourself. A library shelf you do not normally walk down, a channel about something you know nothing about. Follow one person who disagrees with you reasonably.
