One of the steadiest feelings there is: being useful to someone who needed it.
REFLECTION
REFLECTION
Most good feelings depend on things you do not control: results, other people’s moods, whether something worked out. Being useful is different, because it arrives from the doing rather than the outcome. You helped, it was needed, that is a closed loop. It is also available almost every day.
Find one person this week who needs something small and specific, and just do it. A ride, an explanation, covering a shift, carrying something heavy. Do not mention it afterwards, because the steadiness comes from the act and not from the credit.
Who needed you recently and actually got your help?
