REFLECTION
Housework stays invisible while somebody else absorbs the consequences of it not being done. On your own, the dishes sit exactly where you left them and the floor gets worse on a schedule you can watch. The point was never tidiness as a virtue, it was that a room keeps score whether or not anyone is looking.
Take over one recurring job at home for a month, the bins or the laundry or the kitchen floor. Doing it on the days you do not feel like it is the entire exercise.
Who does the laundry you have never thought about?
Free, with nothing to buy inside it.
