The moon always shows us the same side. Everyone you know has a side you’ve never seen.
REFLECTION
REFLECTION
You see one face of the people around you, and it is generally the face built to be seen. There is a whole other half kept quiet: what they are afraid of, what happens at home, what they gave up to be here. Nothing dishonest is going on. Nobody shows all of it to everybody.
Assume the person who irritates you most this week is carrying something you have not been told about. Ask one question past the polite answer, and leave them room not to take it.
Who do you know well and still barely know?
Free, with nothing to buy inside it.
