Every plane overhead is full of people going to weddings, funerals, new jobs and old homes.
REFLECTION
REFLECTION
A plane is easy to read as a shape in the sky rather than a few hundred separate lives. Up there is somebody flying to be married, somebody flying to say goodbye, somebody starting a job, somebody heading back to the house they grew up in. All of it is going on overhead while you are busy with your own afternoon.
Next time one passes over, spend thirty seconds putting real errands in those seats. It makes the strangers around you at ground level much harder to treat as scenery.
Whose reason for traveling would surprise you if you knew?
Free, with nothing to buy inside it.
