Getting really good at one small thing can make a whole life feel more solid.

REFLECTION
Competence in one narrow area spreads further than it has any right to. Being able to do a thing properly and reliably gives you somewhere to stand when everything else is uncertain, and it changes how you go at learning anything new. The thing itself is allowed to be very small.
Pick something narrow and get genuinely good at it over the next few months: a recipe, free throws, one instrument, one repair. Practise on a schedule rather than when you feel like it, and keep it even when it is not useful.
What one small thing could you master properly?
Free, with nothing to buy inside it.
