You live within shouting distance of dozens of people whose names you don’t know. That’s a lot of untapped good.
REFLECTION
REFLECTION
There is a large amount of goodwill sitting unused within a hundred metres of you, held by people you have never spoken to. Nobody makes the first move, because the first move is slightly awkward and nothing in particular forces it. The whole thing stays theoretical until somebody says hello.
Learn one neighbour’s name this week and use it next time you pass them. If that goes well, ask another, and you will know the street by the end of the year.
How many of your closest neighbors could you name?
Free, with nothing to buy inside it.
