Some advice only makes sense ten years after you get it. Keep it anyway.
REFLECTION
REFLECTION
Some things cannot be understood until you have the experience they describe. You hear the words, file them as obvious or irrelevant, and then years later something happens and the sentence suddenly has a floor under it. That is not you being slow. It is how a certain kind of knowledge arrives, late and all at once, and it only arrives if the words were still around.
Keep somewhere to put advice you do not yet agree with. A note on your phone will do. Write down who said it, then leave it alone.
Which advice do you keep without understanding it yet?
