To a nine-year-old, you’re the cool older kid. Act like you know someone’s watching.
REFLECTION
REFLECTION
Somewhere near you there is a younger kid watching how you handle things, and you are far more interesting to them than you are to whoever’s approval you are currently chasing. They are not studying your clothes. They pick up how you talk about losing, whether you are rude to staff, what you do when a game goes badly. Habits travel through people who never knew they were teaching.
Assume one of them is in the room this week. Lose a match without blaming anybody. Say hello to the kid nobody else talks to.
Which younger kid copies you without you noticing it?
Free, with nothing to buy inside it.
