What you call boring stability, someone else is praying for.
REFLECTION
REFLECTION
Quiet house, food in the fridge, the same bed every night: from the inside that reads as dull. From the outside, to somebody whose housing is uncertain, it reads as the thing they would trade almost anything for. Both views are honest. Boredom is often just what safety feels like once you have stopped noticing it.
This is not an order to feel grateful on command. Try naming three stable things in your week and what each one lets you do. Then decide what you want to build on top of them.
Which steady part of your life would someone else envy?
Free, with nothing to buy inside it.
