Pick a few people whose opinion of you truly matters. Everyone else gets a vote, not a veto.
REFLECTION
REFLECTION
Opinions arrive from everywhere and almost none of them cost their owner anything. Give them all equal weight and anybody with a phone or a seat at the back of the class can redirect your week. Treating everyone as an advisor is not open-mindedness, it is a wiring fault. A small panel of people who know you and want you to be good at things is worth more than a crowd.
Name three or four of them this week, specifically. Take their criticism seriously, hear the rest, and let that be where its authority ends.
Which handful of people should get a say about you?
Free, with nothing to buy inside it.
