Real confidence lets other people be right.
REFLECTION
REFLECTION
Someone who is sure of themselves can hear a better answer without losing anything. Needing to win every exchange is a sign of the opposite: if being wrong feels like a threat to who you are, you will fight for bad positions long after you know they are bad. Conceding a point is cheap when your worth is not riding on it.
Hand one argument over this week the moment you realise the other person has it right. Say so out loud, with no hedge attached. Notice that nothing bad happens, and that people start bringing you their thinking more often.
When did you last concede a point without it stinging?
Free, with nothing to buy inside it.
