Some confidence is silent. It looks like taking the last seat in the room without saying sorry for it.

REFLECTION
A lot of what passes for confidence is volume. The quieter version shows up in small physical facts: taking the seat, taking the space, answering a question without three qualifiers in front of it, not apologising for existing in a room you were invited into. Nobody notices it happening, which is what makes it convincing.
Cut one apology this week that was not for anything. Walking past someone, asking a reasonable question, taking the last chair. Just do the thing without the sorry attached, and notice that the room does not object.
Where do you apologise for taking up any space?
Free, with nothing to buy inside it.
