You can come from a family with mistakes and not have to repeat them. You’re allowed to break a pattern.
REFLECTION
REFLECTION
Growing up inside a pattern makes it feel like a rule rather than a habit somebody started. You learned how arguments go, how money gets talked about, how people apologize or do not, and none of that was your choosing. Having the information does not oblige you to keep the practice.
Pick one small thing you have watched go wrong and do it differently when your turn comes. That might be saying sorry the same day, or asking what something costs before agreeing to it. Nobody needs a declaration, and nobody in your family has to be cast as the villain for you to go another way.
Which habit in your family would you like to stop at you?
Free, with nothing to buy inside it.
