Some bridges are built from both banks at once and meet in the middle. So are most good friendships.

A friendship where only one person builds is not a friendship, it is a long reach. The good ones have work coming from both sides: two people texting first sometimes, two people apologising, two people making the plan. When it all comes from your end you feel it in how tired you are long before you admit what is happening.

Look at your closest few and ask honestly who usually starts things. Put your effort where somebody is building toward you, and let a one-sided one rest a while. Then go first with the friend you have been waiting on, so they get a turn to meet you.
