Good glue dries clear. The people holding things together are often the ones you don’t notice.

CREATIVITY

WHAT THIS MEANS

Work done well tends to disappear. Whoever organises the lifts, remembers the birthdays, keeps two arguing friends in the same group chat and sets the room up before anybody arrives leaves no visible trace, which is why they so rarely get credit. Noise gets noticed and maintenance does not. Half the structures you enjoy are held together by somebody you have never thanked.

Work out who does that in your family, team or friend group and tell them directly this week, naming the specific thing. Then take one of those invisible jobs yourself and do it without mentioning it to anyone.

A QUESTION TO SIT WITH

Who holds your family or team together without being thanked?
