A dam doesn’t stop a river. It just teaches it to wait.

CREATIVITY

WHAT THIS MEANS

Blocking something does not remove it, it stores it. The water still arrives at the same rate, held rather than gone, and the pressure behind the wall is the price of the calm surface in front of it. Feelings you have decided not to have work this way, and so do conversations you keep postponing. Nothing is lost, only pooled.

Notice what you have behind a wall and release a controlled amount of it this week. Say one true sentence about the thing you are not discussing. Managed release is what keeps a dam useful instead of dangerous.

A QUESTION TO SIT WITH

What have you been forced to postpone rather than abandon?
