A key is made by cutting metal away from a blank. Sometimes you become useful by losing what doesn’t fit.

CREATIVITY
Becoming something specific is mostly subtraction. A blank fits no lock at all, and what makes a key work is everything that got cut away, which is a decent description of growing up: dropping the activities you only did for show, the borrowed opinions, the version of you built for a group you have left. Loss is doing real work there.
Name one thing you are carrying that is not yours and let it go this week: a goal somebody else gave you, a hobby you have no interest in, a persona you are tired of. Notice how less of you fits more precisely.
What are you still carrying that no longer fits you?
