Elevators post an inspection certificate because trust needs proof. So does leadership.

CREATIVITY

WHAT THIS MEANS

Trust runs on evidence. Saying you are reliable costs nothing, which is exactly why nobody is convinced by it, and anyone leading anything has to accept being checked rather than believed. The proof is boring: arriving when you said, finishing what you started, admitting the one you got wrong before anybody asks. Posted where people can see it, that record does the persuading for you.

Take one promise you have made and make it visible this week. Be on time to every practice, or give back the thing you borrowed without being reminded.

A QUESTION TO SIT WITH

What proof have you given people that you can be trusted?
