Looking through a keyhole shows you a sliver of the room. That’s what a single post shows you of someone’s life.

What you can see through a narrow opening is accurate and almost useless. A single post is one frame out of thousands, chosen, usually on a good day, which does not make it a lie and does make it a terrible basis for comparison. The person you envy online has a whole room you are not looking into, including the parts that would make you feel better and the parts that are none of your business.
When the comparison starts this week, say what you are actually looking at. One frame. Then go talk to somebody in person.
Whose life have you judged from a handful of posts?
