Clock hands go in circles. Time doesn’t. Don’t confuse your routine with getting anywhere.

CREATIVITY
Routine feels like motion and is not the same as travel. Hands go around a dial forever and never arrive anywhere, which is fine for a clock and a problem for a life, because the loop can be so comfortable that busy and progressing stop being distinguishable. You can put in a full week, be genuinely tired, and be exactly where you started.
Pick something you want to be true in a year. Find the one task this week that actually moves toward it, and protect that task even if the rest of the circle has to wait.
Which routine of yours feels productive but goes nowhere?
Free, with nothing to buy inside it.
