The same money buys very different amounts depending on where you are standing, and the same joke lands or dies depending entirely on who is in the room, which is not about censoring yourself. It is about accuracy. What is funny with your closest friends is not funny at somebody’s grandmother’s table, and the material did not change, only the exchange rate.
