Paper remembers every crease, even after you unfold it. Choose your folds like they’ll stay.

STILLNESS

WHAT THIS MEANS

Some actions leave a line whether or not you keep the shape. Words said in a temper, a thing you did once to a friend, a promise broken at a bad time: those can be undone and they still show, faintly, in how the two of you work afterwards. That is not a reason to live in fear, only to be slower with the things that mark.

Before the next one this week, assume it will stay. Say the hard thing only if you would stand by it tomorrow. And where there is already a crease you made, say so out loud rather than pretending the paper is flat.
