Interviews you bombed still count as practice. Hardly anyone nails the first one.

STILLNESS

WHAT THIS MEANS

Performing badly and learning nothing are not the same event. An interview that went wrong still taught your body what the room feels like, which questions come up, and where you freeze, and none of that was available to you beforehand. First attempts are expensive, and they are also the only way to earn a second one.

Write down three things within a day of the next one that did not go well. The question you fumbled, what you forgot to mention, what you wish you had asked. Prepare those three specifically, then go and do another.

A QUESTION TO SIT WITH

Which attempt that went badly taught you the most?
