Letting someone else do the job, slower than you would, is how they learn to do it at all.
STILLNESS
STILLNESS
Taking over is faster today and keeps everybody dependent tomorrow. Watching someone do it badly is uncomfortable, especially when you could finish in half the time, and that discomfort is the price of them ever being able to do it. Every skilled person was allowed to be slow in front of somebody.
Hand something over this week and then keep your hands still. A younger sibling, a new person at work, a teammate learning your position. Say what good looks like, then let them get there their own way. Correct one thing at the end rather than five things during.
Who could do this if you let them be slow?
Free, with nothing to buy inside it.
